One of the most anticipated game to attend every year is back, Kennedy High School is hosting their Homecoming Game against Laguna Creek. Both Junior varsity and Varsity will be playing, looking for a win in their final home game of the season.
Kennedy’s Junior Varsity record is 3-4 and Varsity is 2-6. Meanwhile, Laguna Creek’s JV record is 4-3 and Varsity is 4-4.
For the first time this year, Kennedy students will be able to attend the Homecoming Game. Students have been making an effort to raise spirit in the stands by making petitions for all students to be able to attend games. This Friday, they get their chance against Laguna Creek to cheer on our JV and Varsity football teams.
“I’m excited, especially since it’s something all the players missed,” exclaimed Owen Ponce, a senior on the Varsity team. “We’re gonna need the crowd’s energy on Friday.”
Students and parents will be able to attend with proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID test within 72 hours prior to the game. Attendees are asked to fill out a vaccination form before buying tickets if possible.
Overall, students are anticipating this first game in 2 years, and hope to fill the stands with Kennedy pride, cheering on the Cougars to get a win this week.
Good luck, Cougars!
