It is Friday, September 20, and the biggest football game of the year for the Kennedy Cougars, where going against longtime rivals, the Lions of C.K. McClatchy.
Kennedy may have lost against the Lions in recent years, and McClatchy has taken the trophy back to their turf -- but this year, the Cougars say it is going to be different. The Kennedy Cougars have trained non-stop to win this game.
Cougars junior varsity football will start at 5:30PM. After the JV plays, varsity will play at 7:00PM. Students are encouraged to wear blackout gear.
The football game will be played at Hughes Stadium Football Field. which is located at Sacramento City College, 3835 Freeport Blvd. Kennedy students or family can enter at Gate 13. The Kennedy football team will play as the home team while the McClatchy Lions play as the away team.
