JFK Vs CKM Volleyball

On Mar 25, 2025 John F Kennedy’s Boys Volleyball team had a successful home game against McClatchy High School. Both Junior Varisty(JV) and Varsity(VAR) teams played. JV was at 4:30 and VAR was at 5:30. This game being a big one as it is Hell Court with the crowd hyped and pretty filled.

JV started off the first set a bit rough but eventually came back winning the 1st set 25-19. Playing the second set JV started strong and ended strong winning the set 25-15. Officially winning going 2-0 against McClatchy’s JV team and putting Kennedy’s JV over all at 12-1. 

We saw amazing plays from blocks, spikes and digs. Seeing a lot of action from the spikers, players #8 Jay Yang, #9 Joevone Scott, and #4 Daniel Spann as well as some assists from other players throughout.

Var had a great and easy game against McClatchy’s Var team. Winning all three sets 1st set 25-14, 2d set 25-18, and 3rd set 25-16. Gaining points from spikes and blocks that were amazing to see. Winning against McClatchy helped Var with taking a win after 3 previous losses against other schools. Saw a lot of great plays from players #13 Jared Vaiz, #12 Josh Vang, #8 Hiram Garcia, and #15 Alex Francios.
