As Kennedy Got Talent is scheduled for Dec 18, a rehearsal was held in the JFK Auditorium on Nov 19.
The rehearsal brought the house down with amazing performances full of energy, creativity and cougar pride!
From singers and dancers to comedians and poets, students showcase their talents not just to win, but to share their feelings, their stories and the joy of doing what they love.
A constant named Zachary Glenn shared his thoughts on being in the talent show. He simply stated, “I wanted to express my dancing and to improve [on] my dancing.”
Joseph Puertas, colloquially known as Yo-yo Joe, also shared his reason for joining JFK Got Talent. He replied simply, “I wanted to show people my skills.”
Jasiman Macias was also asked why she participated in the talent show.
“I joined because I want to be seen,” Jasiman said. “I want people to see what I can do.”
The audience always stayed energetic throughout the night, singing along to each song and hyping up every act.
Loud cheers, shouts and applause echoed through the room, making it feel like a mini concert.
Enaliyah Cordero, an audience member from the crowd, shared her experience of the talent showcase.
“I enjoy JFK Got Talent because I’m able to see everyone’s skills,” Cordero said. “And see people enjoying themselves.”
With energy, passion and Cougar spirit filling the auditorium, the JFK’s Got Talent rehearsal proved once again Kennedy students have what it takes to shine!
