The Kennedy winter sports season is upon us and getting started. Here is a preview for you JFK winter sports teams.
The Boys Basketball Season is ready to kick off. The team has already started off their season starting off 1-5 during their preseason. The regular season doesn’t start until January 6th away against McClatchy.
The boy’s most recent game was against Bradshaw Christian with a Cougars loss and a final score of 49-35.
Yesterday, the Cougars had a game against Leroy Greene Academy. Leroy Greene is now 4-4 on their season with the recent loss to Kennedy. The Cougars won 69-64.
The upcoming 6 games for the boy’s team is 12/9 away at Encina, 12/11 away at Center, two undecided tournaments away on 12/12 and 12/13, 12/15 away at Aspire Langston Hughes Academy (ALHA) and one more game before CKM on 12/19 home at Capital College & Career Academy (CCCA).
The Girls Basketball team has been on roll this season starting out 3-3 with a recent loss against Granite Bay 65-35 but won their last 2 against Rosemont and Wood.
Yesterday, the girls team had a game against Mira Loma. Mira Loma is 1-5, losing their last game against Sacramento Waldorf 51-23. There has been no reported score for Kennedy vs. Mira Loma as of the time of publication.
The Girls regular season starts January 7th at home against McClatchy. The upcoming 10 games for the girl’s team are 12/9 away at Vista del Lago, 12/11 at home against Nevada Union, two undecided tournaments 12/12 and 12/13 at home, 12/16 against Edison, 12/18 away against Franklin, 12/29 at home against Woodcreek (tournament), two more undecided tournaments on 12/30 and 12/31, and lastly away at California on 1/3.
The Boys Soccer team is starting their season 1-0-3 with a recent win against Twelve Bridges. Today, the team has a game away against Johnson. Johnson is 1-3 on their season.
The upcoming games for the boys’ team are 12/12 at home against Modesto, 12/13 at home against Pleasant Valley (PVHS), 11/16 at home against Sheldon.
The Girls Soccer team is 0-0 so far with their first game today, against West Campus at home. West Campus is currently 0-2 with their most recent loss to Elk Grove.
The upcoming games for the girls team are 12/11 at home against Monterey Trail, 12/18 at home against Rosemont, and 1/6 at home against Antelope.
