Kennedy high school was buzzing with excitement as they kicked off their final spirit week before the winter break, blending cozy comfort with festive cheer!
Monday kicked off the week with “Linus Blanket Day,” a delightful theme that encouraged students to bring their favorite blankets or stuffed animals to school. It was a sea of comforting textures and beloved characters as students embraced the cozy start to the week.
The Seniors led the pack with an impressive 172 students showcasing their comfort companions. The Juniors followed with 127, while the Freshman had 121 students joining in. The Sophomores rounded out the day with 87 participants, all enjoying a day of ultimate coziness.
Tuesday brought the holiday spirit with “Santa Hat Day!” Students were invited to do their most festive Santa attire, from jolly Santa hats and bushy fake beards, to cheerful red clothing, etc. The school was instantly transformed into a pre- Christmas wonderland!
The Seniors demonstrated their enthusiasm, with 187 students embracing the festive theme. The Freshman followed with 115 participants, while the Juniors saw 113 students get into the Santa spirit. The Sophomores contributed 90 students to the jolly day.
Wednesday was “Snoopy Day,” a chance for students to unleash their inner cartoon characters! From Snoopy himself to a whole host of other beloved animated figures, creativity was on full display.
This day saw a fantastic turnout, with 114 Seniors dressing up. The Juniors were behind them with 83 participants. The Freshman had 66 students join in the cartoon fun, and the Sophomore class rounded out the day with 52 participants.

Thursday was “All I Want for Christmas is You! Day, where students could dress as their ideal self or their dream persona. This theme allowed for a wide range of creative and personal expressions.
A total of 332 participated, with the Seniors leading the way with 115 students. The Junior class followed with 82 participants, while the Freshman had 80 students joining in. The Sophomores class rounded out the day with 55 participants, all showcasing their ideal types.
The week concluded on Friday with the energetic final school rally, celebrating “Class Colors” before heading into winter break. The Seniors proudly supported yellow, the Juniors red, the Sophomores donned blue, and the Freshman shone in purple.
The Seniors proudly supported yellow, with 120 participating students. Following behind them the Juniors, in red, had 95 participating. The Freshman, sporting purple, saw 90 participants. Lastly the Sophomores, shining in Blue, had 70 students take part.
Overall, the total number of students participating throughout the school was 2033 students, having the seniors weighed down carrying a massive amount of participants, tallied up to 707. Just following behind the Seniors are the Juniors, with 500 students getting involved in spiritwear. Not too far behind are the freshman, with 472 students participating, and with in last the sophomores having only 354 students for the entire spirit week.

The rally was a vibrant display of school spirit, with each class cheering on their peers and celebrating the successful end to a fun-filled spirit week!
