On Friday morning, students and teachers were evacuated from the C Wing during third period to the auditorium for the remainder of class.
At 12:35 PM, Principal Reginald Brown sent out an email to parents explaining students were temporarily relocated for precautionary measures while the Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) inspected a possible gas leak in the C building.
The incident did not impact the rest of the day, so teachers and students were rest assured that the remainder of the day would go by smoothly.
Later on, Sac Fire provided some helpful information via phone call.
“We were dispatched at 10:57 AM for an odor investigation,” Sac Fire released. “When units arrived, there was no odor that they could smell, so all of our units cleared within 17 minutes and PG&E took over from there.”
